The fact that Troy Davis is dead is 8 kinds of messed up.
Understand this,death penalty advocates-
If you are going to have the death penalty, unless you have an infallible system, at some point in time, you are INEVITABLY GOING TO KILL AN INNOCENT MAN.

ADEN, Yemen — Here in this port city, nestled between the foothills of southern Yemen and the Indian Ocean, separatists are reasserting their independence, adding yet another potential break in the already fractured state of Yemen.

Hardly a single Yemeni flag flies above this port city these days that does not have emblazoned across it the blue triangle and red star of the socialist party, a symbol of the once independent state of South Yemen and its socialist past, and a tangible example of the overwhelming desire here to secede.

Beneath the surface of American government lurks a system of social programs for the wealthy that is consuming the federal budget. It’s time for progressives to do battle with tax expenditures.

This 4th of July, America has 49 states.

That’s right, 49. Well, not exactly-it’s more like 49 states that have an operating state budget. That one wayward state is, of all places, Minnesota. As of this writing, the state’s been without a fully functioning state government for 3 days.Gov. Mark Dayton, a Democrat, wants to raise income taxes on the wealthiest 2% of Minnesotans, and then capitulated to just Minnesotans with over a million dollars in income. But Republicans, who control both the House and Senate, say that’s unacceptable as they belive those people are”job creators”, regardless of whether or not they actually create jobs.) The two sides missed their July 1 deadline to hash out a deal, so most state offices and services shut down — except for a few critical ones like police, the courts and Medicaid. The stoppage also suspended some programs for the blind and visually impaired, including a radio reading service run by volunteers and training for blind people who are learning to walk with a cane, plus funding for people with disabilities to receive job training and rehabilitation. How does that translate into jobs? That’s 22,000 jobs on furlough, and a bevy of state offices and services being shut down. All because Republicans wouldn’t tax corporations, companies and big business.

Or as they like to call them, their donors.

Keep in mind, as the debt ceiling comes up, that the states are the laboratory of democracy in America.

As everyone knows, I’m the obvious Christian fundamentalist of Tumblr. As such, I have come up with a proposal: redistribute salvation.

Here is how it works: There are too many people of certain races, genders, or socio-economic standing going to heaven. I have come up with a few ideas to combat…

The problem with this is that unlike capital, with sin, everyone starts out with a clean slate, from the same level. The only way you could possibly redistribute sin is to reset everyone from zero. But that’s a moot point anyway, because there isn’t a god, nor a cohesive argument from you.

I’m not sure who runs this site, but I thank them-there’s a lot of things in here that are true about American culture that makes me sad for our younger generation. Honestly, I’m not expecting much from them anymore.
